Public Safety reports are provided as a service to the residents of
Midtown. If you have a question regarding a particular report, please
e-mail your Community Organizer Kelly Otto at midtownmi@yahoo.com or
call the office 732-9191. Midtown has a reputation for being a very
safe residential neighborhood. If you have an interest in receiving
information about starting up a block club in order to better-know your
neighbors and/or to improve conditions on your block please let us
know. If you have questions regarding particular ordinances, for
example Noise, you can click on the City of Grand Rapids link
to the right of this report and review the City’s ordinances and much,
much more. Please feel free to also contact Midtown’s Community Police
Officer Dan Myers. He is the GRPD Officer assigned to the Heritage
Hill and Midtown neighborhoods. Officer Myers works Tuesday-Friday

A& B – Assault and Battery
B&E – Breaking and Entering
CSC – Criminal Sexual Conduct
LARC – Larceny (theft, including burglary, without the use of force
ROBR – Robbery (stealing from a person by using physical force, a weapon or both)
VCSA – Violation of Controlled Substance Act (commonly known as drugs)
